Dr. Evelyn Mora is the founder and owner of Healers of Motion Physical Therapy.
She obtained her masters degree in physical therapy in Colombia. While practicing as a PT in Colombia, she worked with professional soccer teams, with a focus on sports injury rehabilitation.
In the US, Evelyn graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in Virginia. She worked at various physical therapy clinics before spending 9 years with Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines. While there, she had a strong focus on lymphadema treatment, in addition to physical therapy for bone marrow cancer patients.
Dr. Mora has obtained specialized training in TMJ/TMD treatment, as well as becoming certified in the Leduc method of lymphedema management. She currently integrates all her education and training in order to specialize in breast cancer rehabilitation for pre and post surgery patients, sports injury rehabilitation, lymphedema treatment, and TMJ therapy.
She is widely known for her kindness and warm personality in every interaction. Her passion for the field of physical therapy, partnered with a genuinely warm and kind heart truly make her a remarkable physical therapist.
Dr. Sandra Mora is a Licensed Acupuncture Physician in the state of Florida and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, as designated by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She received the designation for diplomat status in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She holds certification in Acupuncture Injection Therapy and Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation.
Sandra trained at the oldest acupuncture school in Florida (Acupuncture and Massage College of Miami). During her course, she had the opportunity to intern under the direction of Chinese Professors/Doctors who came to this country from Beijing and Shanghai Medical Universities of China. During her training, she was one of three national USA recipients for the scholarships awarded by the Asian Medicine Institute (California), for one of the best GPA, student performance, and essay about “Leadership and Traditional Chinese Medicine”.
Dr. Mora has a background in Western Medicine and practiced for 10 years as a Medical Doctor in Colombia, her country of origin. In the U.S.A., she is a retired Cardiac Sonographer from the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
Dr. Mora graduated with honors, received the Valedictorian Award of Excellence, and earned a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine. She is a former Acupuncture Clinic Supervisor of the AMC (Acupuncture and Massage College of Miami). Currently, she works at her clinic Namaste Pembroke Pines Acupuncture, and is partnered with Healers of Motion Physical Therapy in Pembroke Pines – Florida.
Dr. Sandra Mora has dedicated herself to the field of acupuncture, practicing with Love, Compassion, and Service.
